Kristen Job is an educator in the Westside Community Schools and the Executive Director of the Nebraska Association for the Gifted.

In her role in the Westside schools, she is responsible for all 7th-12th student programming for gifted and talented students. She also develops the training for K-12 staff in gifted education. Some of the ways that you help gifted students stay motivated learners, is to create unique service learning opportunities, mentorships, and internships.

Kristen has participated in the Superintendent’s task force for re-visioning and re-imagining what the gifted program looks like in the District. She also coaches academic groups and theater troupes.

Her work with the Nebraska Association for the Gifted Board includes 6 years of service and two years as president.

NAG (Kristen hates the acronym) began in 1956 as a group of concerned parents, teachers, and administrators known as The Governor's Committee for the Academically Talented. Formed as an association in 1957, the group has continually strived to increase awareness of parents, teachers, teacher-trainers, and the general public to provide appropriate developmental experiences for students of high ability. It is with continuing advocacy that the educational needs of gifted and talented students will be met today, tomorrow and in the future.
